SuperGoop Glow Stick Sunscreen SPF 50 Review

Is Supergoop Glow Stick SPF 50 Good?

Supergoop Glow Stick SPF50 PA++++ caught my attention because it is an invisible SPF 50 that is quick and easy to apply. Sometimes you want to get through your skincare routine quickly right? This Supergoop Glow Stick SPF seems like it will blend in quickly without spending a lot of time rubbing it in. Particularly intriguing to me is that it has an oil formulation. Even though this is a chemical sunscreen, which my eyes are sensitive to, I still wanted to try it.

Supergoop Glow Stick SPF 50 PA++++ Claims

  1. Leaves a dewy finish without an oily residue

  2. Addresses fine lines and wrinkles,

  3. Dryness,

  4. Loss of firmness and elasticity

  5. It is also clean at Sephora

Supergoop Glow Stick - What I love

  1. The dry oil formula that gives an extra glow

  2. Easy to travel with

  3. Its an SPF 50 PA+++

  4. Blends in seamlessly

Supergoop Glow Stick - What I Don’t Like

  1. How much to use is unclear. According to the Sephora website, The instructions notes “apply generously”. Without a specific measurement that instruction is open to interpretation which means one cannot really be sure if they are using an efficacious amount.

  2. The push-up packaging. If you accidentally push it up too far, you have to shove it back into the packaging and screw on the top. This causes some seeping over to the sides.

  3. This formula stings my eyes slightly. I do have sensitive eyes and this may not have the same effect on you.

How I use it.

I do have combination skin and I enjoy a dewy look. That is part of the reason why this SPF appealed to me. I will not recommend this SPF if you have oily skin and do not enjoy a glow/ dewy finish. When I purchased this, I intended to use this on my face but I apply this to the back of my hands, neck, and decolletage by rubbing the stick on my skin a few times.

Final thoughts

I can’t say that this SPF is a loss for me. I do enjoy using it in the areas I described and it is easier to carry around. It’s also easier to top up with than a liquid SPF. When I finish this one, I am open to trying more SPF sticks. What SPF are you loving right now?
